Baker Maddera, PGA -  Head Golf Professional

Baker has been a PGA Professional for 36 years and is a graduate of the first Professional Golf Management program (PGM) at Ferris State College in Big Rapids, Michigan. Serving as a Teaching Assistant, Baker's most recent job was at Montclair Golf Club in West Orange, New Jersey. Prior to that Baker served as the Head Golf Professional at the Rock Spring Club for twenty-seven years.  During his professional career Baker has competed in two PGA tour events (Western Open & Buick Open), PGA Ben Hogan tour (now known as the Web.com tour), three US Opens (Oakmont - Twice and Brookline CC), one PGA Championship (Bellerieve CC), and was elected into the NJPGA Hall of Fame in 2015.

From this playing career Baker has had the opportunity to observe in live action some of the best swings, minds, and practice routines the game has to offer. This experience has been applied in my teaching to my students during his career. As a teacher my role as an instructor is to listen and observe my students. Using tried and true golf swing fundamentals against the student's strengths and weaknesses, a successful outcome toward the student's improvement can be achieved. I look forward to working with golfers of all abilities to achieve their golfing goals. All golf instruction can and will be structured to the students schedule and needs.
